Eduard Winklhofer

Eduard Winklhofer (* 1961 in Voitsberg in Styria ) is an Austrian painter and installation artist .

life and work

Winklhofer studied from 1980 in Perugia at the Accademia d. B. Arti Pietro Vanucci and graduated in painting from Nuvolo . Winklhofer was in close contact with the main representatives of Arte povera and was assistant to Jannis Kounellis at the art academy in Düsseldorf from 1994 to 1999 . He showed his work in exhibitions and stage productions. a. in Düsseldorf, Moscow, Berlin, Munich, Graz, Milan, Rome and Jinan, Shandong (China). He lives in Germany and Italy.

Awards

He has received grants and prizes, including the 2005 “Premio David di Michelangelo”.
