Eduardo Liendo
Eduardo Liendo Zurita (* 1941 in Caracas , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan prose writer and librarian. In recognition of his work, the renowned publishing house Alfaguara created the Biblioteca Eduardo Liendo in 2007, a collection of his most important works. The author was also a member of the jury for the award of the international Premio Rómulo Gallegos and several Latin American literary prizes.
Life
Liendo was a political prisoner from 1962 to 1967. After that he was u. a. from 1976 to 2001 worked as a librarian at the Venezuelan National Library . At the same time he worked as a lecturer at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello .
