Educational Pictures

Educational Pictures (also Educational Films Corporation ) was an American film production company that was the market leader for short film comedies in the US film distribution industry during the heyday of silent films . It existed from 1915 to 1940. Educational Pictures mainly produced two-act comedies, including cartoons . The company also released short documentaries ( novelties ), one of which, Krakatoa , won an Oscar in 1934 .

The comedy directors Jack White , Al Christie and Mack Sennett were under contract with Educational, and in the 1930s Buster Keaton was also hired to play with Educational.
