Edward Green is an English shoe manufacturer founded in 1890.

Edward Green is based in Northampton, England. The level of manual work in shoe production is particularly high. Only about 250 pairs of shoes are made each week.

During the 1930s Edward Green was one of the British Army's greatest shoe makers . Their footwear was also chosen by clients like the Duke of Windsor , Ernest Hemingway and Cole Porter .

Edward Green shoes can be found in the company's own stores on Jermyn Street in London and on Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris , as well as in stores in many parts of the world, such as Double Monk in Melbourne , Isetan in Japan , matches in Wimbledon Village , and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York .

In 1890, Edward Green began small-scale handcrafted men's shoes in Northampton .

The company was sold in 1977 by Edward Green's nephew to an American leather entrepreneur, Marley Hodgson. Financial difficulties persisted, so Edward Green Shoes was sold to a bespoke tailor and shoemaker for a British pound. Upon John Hlustik's unexpected death in 2000, the business was bequeathed to his partner Hilary Freeman.
