Egbert Reinhard

Egbert Reinhard (born March 3, 1928 in Gelsenkirchen , † April 8, 2004 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

After attending elementary school and high school, Egbert Reinhard obtained his Abitur in 1947. From 1947 to 1952 he worked underground in the mining industry as a locomotive driver. From 1952 to 1956 he studied law at the University of Münster with a final first state examination. From 1957 to 1961 he was a trainee lawyer and passed his assessor examination. In 1962 he became an associate lawyer. From 1962 Reinhard worked at the legal office of the city of Gelsenkirchen, most recently as municipal legal director. From 1975 he went into temporary retirement in accordance with the state legal status law. In 1980 he resigned from office under Section 32 of the Law on Representatives (AbgG NW). From 1975 to 1980 he was the parliamentary manager of the SPD parliamentary group.

Egbert Reinhard was a member of the SPD from 1952. He was chairman of the SPD city administration operating group from 1968 to 1974. From 1972 to 1976 he was a member of the Western Westphalia district committee, and from 1970 a member of the Gelsenkirchen sub-district committee. From 1970 to 1976 he chaired the workers' committee of the Gelsenkirchen sub-district. He was a member of the party council from 1976 to 1980 and from 1975 a member of the state committee. Reinhard was a city councilor in Gelsenkirchen from 1956 to 1962. He was a member of the mining industry union from 1948 to 1956, and from 1956 a member of the public services, transport and traffic union.

Egbert Reinhard was able to look back on a long period of membership in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament . From July 26, 1970 to May 31, 1995 he was a directly elected member of the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Landtag for constituency 100 Gelsenkirchen II and constituency 088 Gelsenkirchen II.
