List of cable cars of the Eggalmbahnen:
The ski area can be reached either from the valley with the Eggalmbahn or from the Rastkogel area via ski route 75. The Hinteranger lift runs a bit away from the ski area and is therefore not accessible from the rest of the area by ski, it mainly serves as a practice facility.
history
Some people in the valley intended to swap mining in the Tux magnesite mine , as an important branch of industry, for winter tourism in the long term , and planning to develop the slopes of the Eggalm and the Hintertux Glacier began, and the Eggalm ski area was finally opened in 1963 accessible with the 1- seater chairlift Eggalmbahn and the Lattenalm and Scheidegg tow lifts . The Pfistereben and Beilspitz tow lifts were later built as additional employment facilities in the ski area. In 1984 the Eggalm Nord double chairlift followed, which gave way to the existing 6-seater chairlift in 2004. In order to increase the transport capacity, the single chair lift was replaced by a double chair lift in 1986, which was replaced by the current gondola lift after seven years of operation as the Eggalmbahn. It was rebuilt as the Lattenalmbahn and replaced the Lattenalm and Scheidegg tow lifts as an employment facility. The Pfistereben lift was also dismantled in 1993. The Beilspitz lift still exists today. In 2009, the Lattenalm chairlift from 1993 was replaced by a 6-seater chairlift.
