Bloemendaal Cemetery of Honor

The Bloemendaal Cemetery of Honor ( Dutch: Erebegraafplaats Bloemendaal ) is the final resting place for resistance fighters who were executed by the Germans at various locations in the Kennemerduinen near Bloemendaal during the Second World War . The tomb is on a dune.

In the dunes around Bloemendaal 422 victims of executions were found in 45 different places. 372 victims were reburied in the cemetery of honor built especially for this purpose in 1945 and memorial stones were erected in the dunes. In 2010 the cemetery of honor was declared a Rijksmonument .
