Lahna Cemetery of Honor

At the memorial cemetery Lahna in Łyna (dt. Lahna ) 56 soldiers of the German Army and 89 soldiers rest of the Russian army.

On August 23, 1914, two companies of the Jäger Battalion "Graf Yorck von Wartenburg" (East Prussian) No. 1 were in advanced positions in Lahna and the surrounding area . The five-hour battle at Orlau - Lahna - Frankenau , which was part of the battle of Tannenberg , broke out around the village . Eventually the hunters had to vacate the village and fought back to the main position.

The Lahna Cemetery of Honor consists of an enclosure wall made of boulders. The graves are bordered with curbs and marked with a pillow stone. Repair work was last carried out in 1993.
