The Lohrer Wald cemetery of honor is a German war cemetery near the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Bad Kreuznach .

It was created between 1951 and 1953 on behalf of the German War Graves Commission in the middle of the Lohr forest. A total of 2,265 war dead, in particular from the Rhine meadow camps in Bretzenheim and Bad Kreuznach, were buried in the cemetery of honor after being reburied from the Galgenberg camp cemetery and other temporary burial sites.

The cemetery area was designed according to plans by the Munich architect Robert Tischler . Squat sandstone crosses are located on a park-like burial ground. It is framed by a slate wall with an open entrance hall in classical and Heimatstil motifs.

The facility is designated as a monument zone .
