Emmerich Anton Hubert Freiherr Raitz von Frentz (born 16th March 1803 in List Ringshausen ; died thirtieth December 1874 in Dusseldorf ) was royal Prussian Chamberlain , Captain , castle captain of Benrath and 1838-1863 District Administrator of the district Dusseldorf .

Emmerich Raitz von Frentz was born in Listringhausen in 1803. Life and career

At the age of 17, Raitz von Frentz initially joined the 7th Uhlan Regiment as a volunteer , where he was appointed sergeant on August 4, 1821, as porter officer on January 19, 1823 and as second lieutenant on January 21, 1824 . Uhlan regiment before he retired from Prussian military service at his own request and with the highest cabinet order of June 18, 1825. As a result, he began studying law and camera science at the University of Bonn , which he did not graduate. On May 10, 1838 he was finally elected as District Administrator of the Düsseldorf district. His appointment by the highest cabinet order and, subject to the examination of his qualification for this office, followed on November 27, 1838, where he passed the required examination on January 10, 1839 with the assessment “excellently qualified”. The administration of the district until his inauguration and swearing-in on March 6, 1839 was initially taken over by Anton von Lorch until December 31, 1838 and then by Franz Graf von Spee .

After almost 23 years of service, Raitz von Frentz submitted his first resignation on November 14, 1861. In order to save the administrative district he administered an interim service, he intended to continue the business from January 1, 1862 until a reoccupation. However, he withdrew an application for a declaration of confidence on the part of the district population. Finally, at his own request, he was retired on February 21, 1863 with the Dimissoriale on March 30, 1863. In addition to his full-time occupation as district administrator, Raitz von Frentz was a member of the Mathis faction in the provincial parliament of the Rhine Province from 1859 to 1861 .
