The old manor Listringhausen is one of the landmarks of the city of Meinerzhagen . It is located in the immediate vicinity of the foreland of the Genkeltalsperre and is an eye-catcher in the very rural surroundings. The closest place is the farming village of Genkel .

history

The historical site was first mentioned in 1621 when Friedrich von Neuhoff , later owner of Badinghagen Castle , was recognized as a manor by the Elector of Brandenburg for his possessions in Listringhausen . The two houses Listringhausen and Badinghagen were separated again in 1653 by dividing the estate .

The son Caspar Christoph von Neuhoff received Listringhausen. He was followed by three generations of his family on Listringhausen, which was then passed on to Baron Franz Adolf Joseph von Nagel zu Badinghagen. With him, however, the line from Nagel to Badinghagen and Listringhausen died out in the male line. The heiress married in 1789 Franz Karl baron Raitz von Frentz to Schlenderhan from which the two houses in open 1897 auction for 40,300 Mark Heinrich Dresler from Kreuztal went over.

Building

Then as now, Gut Listringhausen shows the main building, side building, gatehouse, stables and a park, surrounded by a small stone wall. Today's annex was built eleven years in front of today's manor house and should have originally been the main house at that time. This is also indicated by the coat of arms above the two middle doors of the neighboring house, on which the new bourgeois owner added his initials "HD" for Heinrich Dresler and the year 1897 to the alliance coat of arms of Neuhoff / von der Mark zu Villgst. With nine window axes on the courtyard side, it asserts itself on a par with today's manor house.

In 1903 both houses were restored. The mansion, the side gatehouse and the stables were plastered, so today nothing can be seen of the quarry stone as a building substance.

The Listringhausen estate is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside.
