The station Krummenerl is the terminus of the railway line from Meinerzhagen (see: the Lister railway Meinerzhagen-Krummenerl ). This connection was built between the years 1912 and 1927 (with interruptions during the First World War ) and opened on June 21, 1927. Originally, it should have been built further to Kreuztal via Olpe . The transport project was given up due to two world wars and a lack of money and remained unfinished. That is why this route is popularly known as The Unfinished . According to the plans at the time, Hunswinkel would have had a train station and Dumicke a stopping point; at Eichhagen the line would have merged with the existing Finnentrop-Olpe line . Passenger traffic has not taken place since 1955.
