Badinghagen Castle is a moated castle that stands close to the border with the Bergisches Land south of Meinerzhagen and was heavily modernized in 1902. Its forces are fed by the Agger . The castle is used privately and can only be viewed from the outside.

The castle was first mentioned as a feudal estate in the Werden provost register in 1160 . It has been proven by the Badinghagens since 1363. After the family died out, it was sold to Friedrich von Neuhoff in 1509 via Friedrich von Karthausen in 1642 . Three generations later, Conrad Caspar von Nagel , a son of the heir's daughter, was the owner of Badinghagen Castle.

Today's facility, which has since been rebuilt several times, only roughly has the ground plan of the earlier structure, which the Engelbert von Neuhoff and Anna Margarethe von Scheid family had built around the middle of the 17th century. A half-timbered upper floor with clapboard cladding rises above the massive base of the ground floor . Badinghagen is owned by the Dresler family from Kreuztal.
