Necklace of Honor from Albania

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Albania chain of honor was established on December 3, 1925 and awarded exclusively to heads of state. The only Albanian porter was King Zogu I of Albania .

The chain has the following appearance: In the middle two crossed, overturned golden swords, which firmly connect two chain links, which are otherwise connected by small chains. These chain links are formed from two crossed golden laurel branches, which are covered in the middle with a silver five-pointed star. On both sides there is a golden, red-enamelled double dragon, the head of which is not enameled. This is followed by two laurel star links, etc. The chain contains a total of 14 stars on the laurel branches and seven double-headed eagles.

In the middle between the crossed swords hangs a silver five-pointed star and a gold, black enameled double-headed eagle with gold heads and claws. In the center of the chest is a dark red enameled coat of arms, which shows the golden helmet of Skanderbeg in front of three crossed cannon barrels and four flags.
