The Eichichter Loquitzmühle is located above the confluence of the Loquitz in the Saale .

It was mentioned for the first time in the judicial decision at the Council of Constance in 1417. A document from 1541 confirms that the owner of the Eichichter Mühle also has the right to fish in the Mühlbach an der Loquitz.

In 1910, the generation of electrical energy from hydropower using two turbines with an output of 32 kW each began. In addition to the grinding and grist mill, there was a cutting mill until 1909 , which had to give way to the further technical development of the turbine system. The water of the Loquitz has been used here without interruption for more than 595 years.
