Eickel Pils

Former Hülsmann brewery, where the Eickel Pils is made

Eickel Pils short and simple, Eickel called, was until 1992 a brand of the brewery Hülsmann in Herne district Eickel .

history

In the 1970s the beer was marketed under the name Hülsmann Pils, export beer brewery Hülsmann Wanne-Eickel . With the closure of the brewery in 1992, the regional brand disappeared from the market. There are still some old beer advertisements in the Herner urban area. A picture based on the coat of arms of the Ritter von Eickel is attached to the red lettering. Former promotional items as well as bar chairs, neon signs and mugs from the brewery are very popular with collectors.

In 2010 a small, three-person entrepreneurial company revived the brand. The so-called Hülsmann festival beer (an export beer ) was initially only available to order, but now the festival beer and a Hülsmann summer beer ( Pils ) are also available in some specialty markets in the Ruhr area.
