Federal Communications Commission

The Federal Communications Commission (ComCom) is the independent concession - and regulator of Switzerland for telecommunications .

It was brought into being by the Telecommunications Act (FMG) of April 30, 1997.

The commission consists of seven members appointed by the Federal Council . In its decisions, it is not subject to any instructions from the Federal Council or the department, is independent of the administrative authorities such as the Federal Office of Communications and has its own secretariat.
