The title deed for horses serves as proof of ownership of the registered horse. The document is issued by the respective breeding association with which the horse is registered.

In Switzerland the document is called a certificate of origin .

The title deed contains the following information:

  • Name of the horse
  • Life number as a unique identification, assigned by the breeding organization
  • Gender of the horse
  • Microchip number ( if available )
  • race
  • Breeding brandy ( if any )
  • Name, country, zip code and location of the breeder
  • Coat color
  • Date of birth
  • Pedigree tree with four generations of ancestors
  • Place and date of issue of the document
  • Stamp of the exhibiting breeding organization
  • Signature of the issuing person
