KK Eight Bit ( Japanese 株式会社 エ イ ト ビ ッ ト , Kabushiki-gaisha Eitobitto , original spelling eight bit ), also 8bit , is a Japanese animation studio.
history
Eight Bit was founded in September 2008 by Tsutomu Kasai, who previously worked in the CG department of the animation studio Satelight .
The first anime produced by the studio was, together with Satelight, the feature film Gekijōban Macross Frontier - Itsuwari no Utahime , after Kasai had already worked as an animation producer for the underlying television series Macross Frontier at his previous employer. The studio's first TV series was IS (Infinite Stratos) in 2011 , followed by Aquarion Evol , again in collaboration with Satelight.
