Eijebong

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eijebong , also Eijeboñ , is a female deity in the monotheistic faith on Nauru , who was still worshiped by the indigenous Nauru people in the mid-19th century , but was ousted by Christian proselytizing until 1945.

Little is known about the goddess and her worship, there was no kind of priesthood, she was worshiped as a cult individually without public with gifts that were offered in the bush.
