The Unicorn publishing , commercial law: unicorn-Verlag + Druck GmbH is a publisher established in 1956 in Schwabisch Gmund .
As a book publisher, Einhorn-Verlag publishes novels, homeland books, illustrated books, poems, cookery, art and children's books. He also publishes magazines, calendars, brochures, city and town maps, as well as official and newsletters. He also offers prepress such as business cards, letterheads, invoice forms, flyers, folders and roll-ups. He also creates online presences for companies and private individuals. The publishing program currently comprises around 160 titles. The unicorn yearbook has been published since 1974.
history
On October 15, 1951, the advertising agency Gmünder Werbebüro / Werbeverlag was registered. In the following January Eduard Dietenberger and Otto Scheffler signed a contract to operate this advertising agency. At the end of 1951, the two partners paid in 20 marks twice each as initial capital; three more 20 Mark payments were made in 1952. In 1951, the advertising agency published the Gmünder Christmas gazette and in 1952 the catalog for the exhibition “Art and Diligence”. In October 1953, after almost a year of preparatory work, the first edition of an illustrated magazine to cultivate the idea of home in the city and district of Schwäbisch Gmünd appeared under the title einhorn . On January 10, 1956, the company was entered in the commercial register as einhorn Verlag und Werbebüro Eduard Dietenberger .
From October / November 1958 the magazine Remstal appeared - Illustrated magazine for home care, culture, economy and hospitality in the Waiblingen district , which was later renamed An Rems and Murr - half-yearly issues for home and culture in the Rems-Murr district . In mid-1959, the company was converted into a limited partnership, from 1960 it was called Verlag Eduard Dietenberger KG . It now endeavored to publish community newsletters in the Gmünder surrounding communities, up to 1972 there were a total of 20. In addition to the journal einhorn , other periodical publications were added.
At the beginning of 1970 the publishing house acquired the Einhorn-Verlag Hans von Kothen, Pfullingen, including the company logo and all publishing and property rights. The Einhorn-Verlag, registered in the commercial register as “Verlag Eduard Dietenberger KG”, was only able to legally use its naturalized name “Einhorn-Verlag” through this purchase. Einhorn Druck GmbH was founded in the same year for the production of publishing products . 30 to 35 books were set per year, also for book publishers in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Munich, Baden-Baden and Hamburg. In 1976 the publishing house was converted into a limited liability company. In 1984 the publisher and Konrad-Theiss-Verlag-GmbH each held half of the Ostalbverlag Schwäbischer Heimatverlag Dietenberger & Theiss GmbH & Co. , based in Aalen. The publisher published the Ostalb-Einhorn magazine.
Company founder Eduard Dietenberger died on December 31, 1999.
In October 2002 the Einhorn-Verlag and the company Einhorn-Druck merged to form Einhorn-Verlag + Druck GmbH . From 2004 the company realigned itself with new products (100 years of Parler-Gymnasium, culinary double, Unicornus wine guide, gmuendguide city magazine schwäbisch gmünd, gmuendguide pocket city guide Schwäbisch gmünd, Gschwender Bote, Ostalb-Krimis, city maps, local brochures, local maps, commemorative publications on all occasions). In 2013 the company got a new logo. Official and newsletters are currently published weekly for around 25 municipalities and districts with a total circulation of around 18,500 copies.
