Timo Bader

Timo Bader (born July 10, 1983 in Mutlangen ) is an author of fantastic novels. He works as a teacher at the Max-Planck-Gymnasium Schorndorf .

In May 2000, at the age of 17, he was selected twice by the jury for the interactive sequel story on www.derclub.de with Wolfgang Hohlbein as the only author. The complete story with the title "In the shadow of the sun" was published in the "Wolfgang Hohlbein Fantasy Selection 2001" by Weitbrecht Verlag .

After high school and community service , he studied German and American studies at the University of Stuttgart . In addition to school and studies, he wrote numerous short stories and poems for literary magazines, anthologies and the Internet.

Timo Bader thus aroused the interest of Alisha Bionda , fantasy author and editor of the literary magazine "Headline". A short time later, Alisha Bionda worked with him as the first and only author under the age of 18 to create a complete block of authors for the special edition of the “Headline” on the subject of “Fantasy”.

At the Book Fair Convent 2003, on October 11, 2003, the first work by the then 20-year-old was published with the title “The CELLAR Trilogy Volume 1 - The Gyt”. In February 2004 the sequel with the title "The CELLAR Trilogy Volume 2 - Firan Conflict" followed. With DRIMAXID Volume 1 - The Cell, a new four-part science fiction series started on April 27, 2004 under the leadership of Timo Bader at Go-Verlag. Timo Bader's first work "The CELLAR Trilogy Volume 1 - Der Gyt" was nominated in the summer of 2004 by visitors to the website www.phantastik-news.de in the category "Best Novel Debut National" for the German Fantastic Prize 2004.

In August 2004 the “CELLAR” trilogy came to an end with “The CELLAR Trilogy Volume 3 - The Homecoming”. In the same month the fantasy novel “The Last Servant” was published by INTRAG Publishing. January 2005 appeared "DRIMAXID Volume 2 - World of Mutants", June 2005 "DRIMAXID Volume 3 - Hypnos Feinde".

Together with the Austrian author Jürgen K. Brandner, Timo Bader was responsible as the editor of the third volume of the “Edition Geschichteweber” of the website publisher entitled “WILDES LAND”. The fourth and final volume of the "DRIMAXID" tetralogy (title: "DRIMAXID Volume 4 - Antara") was published in October 2005. In November 2005 the Web-Site-Verlag published the second anthology under the editorship of Timo Bader: "OPTATIO ONYX".

In April 2012 Bader published his first historical novel Im Bann der Staufer on the occasion of the city anniversary of Schwäbisch Gmünd .
