As a commitment (short EB; English standby ) is called in the military area a state of technical equipment, the intended task without further their maintenance to meet immediately. A ready-to-use device is available for immediate use.

Military readiness

The term military commitment (in terms of combat readiness / NATO English combat readiness ) is the ability of a military unit or a department , in use outline a full human and material strength order to fulfill.


The term is not with operational capability (NATO designation operational readiness to be confused).
