One-word sentence

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Children who are in the early stages of language acquisition express themselves with a single word via a one-word sentence . The utterance fulfills the function of a linguistic act, as can be seen from the intonation and the context of the action.

The formation of actual sentences, which are at least two-part , follows in child language acquisition after the holophrastic phase, which uses the one-word sentence.
