one-time permission

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The individual license is in Austria the counterpart to the type certificate . It is issued for individual vehicles by the technical departments of the state governments if these vehicles are manufactured or imported as individual items and therefore no general type approval has been obtained from a vehicle importer.

Like the type certificate, it also consists of three parts:

  • the permit itself
  • the description of the vehicle
  • the owner information

Such individual permits are usually issued for trucks because the bodies are not all the same. The trailers, which are only produced in small numbers, usually only have a single permit.

But even for vehicles you have imported yourself , if you have an EU operating permit ( COC paper ), a confirmation of approval (so-called "simplified individual permit") is issued. In all other cases, the vehicle must undergo a technical inspection.
