Eirene (painter)

Eirene ( Greek Ἐιρήνη ) was an ancient Greek painter in the 3rd century BC. She was the daughter and student of the painter Kratinos . It is only mentioned in Pliny the Elder , Naturalis historia 35, 147. Then she is said to have painted the portrait of a girl who was in Eleusis .
