Fabrica railway accident

In the railway accident at Fabrica on September 2, 1954, a freight train derailed near the town of Fabrica in the north of the island of Negros in the Philippines and caused a bridge to collapse. 82 people died.

Starting position

An Insular Lumber Company train , which consisted of 23 flat cars with logs loaded and chained to the ground, drove down a steeply sloping route to the valley. There were also about 100 passengers on the freight wagons , mostly workers from the Insular Lumber Company and their family members.
