In the Miseiktab railway accident on February 26, 1965 , two trains collided head- on near Miseiktab , Sudan . At least 100 people died.

A freight train traveling from Port Sudan in the direction of Khartoum collided head-on on the single- track Khartoum – Wadi Halfa line near Miseiktab with a passenger train traveling in the opposite direction, from Khartoum to Port Sudan. The sources do not state the cause of the accident.

consequences

At least 100 people died and 29 were injured.
