Tacotalpa railway accident
The Tacotalpa railway accident was a rear-end collision between a freight train and a passenger train on December 20, 1964 in Tacotalpa , in the south of the Mexican state of Tabasco .

The fog was thick. The passenger train stopped at Tacotalpa station as scheduled when the freight train pulled up at a speed of about 70 km / h. The last two cars of the passenger train were completely smashed. The guilt was given to the locomotive driver of the freight train, who had not been attentive, perhaps even slept.
consequences
More than 46 people died and 26 were injured. The engine driver fled from the scene of the accident.
