Iron turner

Eisendrechsler (in Austria: Eisendreher ) is a term used in the 19th century for the old apprenticeship "lathe operator". Since August 1, 2002, training to become a lathe operator is no longer possible. In Germany it was reorganized and replaced by the successor profession of precision mechanic , in Austria by the apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator .
