Eisenhuthaus
The Eisenhuthaus in the town of Poysdorf in Lower Austria is a two-storey, eaves building with a hipped roof from the end of the 16th / beginning of the 17th century. Rectangular windows in profiled frame frames , a covered external staircase and a former shop vault with barrel vaults characterize the building. On the upper floor there is a figure of Saint Florian in a wall niche .
The courtyard wing is accessible through an arched portal and a vaulted entrance. Above the portal there is a window framed by a fascia and a fluted, bulged sill . The approximately square inner courtyard has two-storey, round-arched pillar arcades on two sides from the end of the 16th century. The corridors have groin vaults with hanging pegs. The former utility rooms are on the ground floor and have spike cap barrels .
At the beginning of the 21st century the house was partly in a ruinous condition. At the instigation of the owner and with the support of the state of Lower Austria, the renovation began around 2010 and was completed in 2012.
