The ice hockey tournament in Brussels took place in Brussels , Belgium from December 29 to 31, 1910 and served as a preparatory tournament for the 2nd European Championship , which took place in February 1911. It is also one of a series of tournaments in the still young sport that were brought into being after the LIHG was founded in 1908. The occasion of the tournament was the inauguration of the second ice rink in Belgium, the Palais de Glace Saint-Sauveur .
The participating club teams provided the later squad of the respective national teams for the European Championship. The Oxford Canadians , a selection of Canadian students from Oxford, England, won the tournament with a record of three wins from as many games.
