Ekaterina Tarnopolskaya

Ekaterina Tarnopolskaja (born in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Russian pianist who has her permanent residence in Germany.

Life

Ekaterina Tarnopolskaja began her pianistic training in her hometown Moscow and completed it at the "Franz Liszt" Music Academy in Weimar . As a soloist, she has performed with various orchestras from the Niederbayrische Philharmonie to the Jena Philharmonic and the Berlin Symphony.

In addition, répétiteur is a focus of her artistic work. From 2002 to 2011 she worked as a director of studies at the Landestheater Niederbayern. Repetition tasks took her to Bozen, Linz, Kaiserslautern, Klagenfurt, Moscow and Vienna, among others.

In addition to music theater, the pianist also devotes herself to chamber music and song accompaniment. On her initiative the chamber music ensemble "Poetrion" was founded, for whose concert series "... between the lines" she took over the artistic direction.

Since 2009 she has been teaching accompaniment in Stuttgart at the University of Music there, and from 2011 also for solo repertoire at their opera school and, from 2012, a teaching position for repertoire design at the University of Music in Mannheim. She is also a visiting professor at the Izmir Conservatory.

Ekaterina Tarnopolskaja lives with her family, the bass-baritone Wieland Satter and her two children, in Kaiserslautern.
