AB Ekranas was a Lithuanian company that manufactured picture tubes . It was privatized in 1994 and registered as a public company on April 18. The main activity was the manufacture of electronic devices. In 2004 the company achieved sales of LTL 467 million (in 2003: sales of LTL 462.274 million and a profit of LTL 35.046 million). The company was listed on the Vilnius Stock Exchange. On April 20, 2006, the Panevėžys District Court opened bankruptcy proceedings for AB “Ekranas” and appointed Laisvutis Virgilijus Survila as the insolvency administrator. On May 25, 2006, the Lithuanian Court of Appeal changed the decision of April 20, 2006 and appointed UAB “Baklis” (Gintaras Gelčys) as the insolvency administrator of BAB “Ekranas”.
