Ekspres ( Ukrainian Експрес , German: Express) is currently the national Ukrainian- language daily newspaper with the highest circulation , published in Lviv . Ekspres appears three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), the weekly circulation is around 1 million copies. This makes the newspaper the market leader in the Ukrainian-language daily press. The highest sales figures are achieved in western and central Ukraine , i.e. in the predominantly Ukrainian-speaking regions of the country.

The newspaper provides easy-to-digest reading on politics, business and culture, both nationally and internationally. The high sales figures are not least due to the regional supplements that the paper offers in each of the oblast towns in its main sales area (for example Lvivski nowyny , German: Lemberger Nachrichten) for the city and oblast of Lviv , as well as free special issues in each issue. Since it was founded in 1994, thanks to this strategy, the newspaper has increased its weekly circulation from 5,000 to 1 million in 2005.

In 2005 the following supplements appeared:

  • Tues. - MedEkspres - everything to do with health, fitness, nutrition
  • Thursday - TeleEkspres - TV booklet with programs from national and local channels
  • Fr. - Domaschnij Poradnyk (German: Household Advisor ) - everything to do with household and living

The newspaper also has EkspresCOOL , a magazine for young people, on offer.
