Alfarcito is a town in northwest Argentina . It is located in the department of Iruya in the province of Salta , four kilometers east of the village of Las Higueras and is located near the mountain of the same name, Cerro El Alfarcito .
The village has a school (escuela Nº4765) with about 30 students.
In the dry seasons from May to October, El Alfarcito can be reached from Iruya by off-road vehicles in two hours, and on foot in six hours.
