The Elbasan-Han ( Albanian  Han i Elbasanit ) is a historic inn from the early 18th century in the old bazaar of the city of Korça in southeastern Albania . It takes its name from the central Albanian city of Elbasan . With Han (from Persian خان Chan , Turkish han 'house' ) is the name of a caravanserai .

The Han was built in the appropriate style at the time of the Ottoman Empire . It served as accommodation for passing traders, sellers and merchants, especially from the Elbasan region .

The building surrounds a pentagonal, paved courtyard with a fountain. This served as a stand for horses and as a market and is accessible through a narrow gate from the bazaar. The first floor served as a storage room and stable. Above is a wooden, decorated gallery that opens onto the courtyard. From here the sleeping chambers, which face outwards, are accessible.

Of the 18 caravanserais in Korça that have survived , only the Elbasan Han , the Han i Monastirit and the Han i Gjelit have survived . Around the year 2000 the Elbasan-Han was restored and temporarily used as a hotel with four very simple rooms. The inner courtyard is used this morning by sellers to set up their market stalls.
