The Kontorhaus Elbhof , Steinhöft 9, on Baumwall in Hamburg's Neustadt district , was built between 1904 and 1905 for AEG based on plans by the architect Walter Martens .

Herrengrabenfleet and Straße delimit the property so that goods could be delivered by land and water. With the front building, courtyard wing and granary on the canal, the structure follows the pattern of the old Hamburg merchant's house. The opulent staircase and the facade with the bronze sculptures by the sculptor Arthur Bock above the entrance portals, crowned with the Hamburg coat of arms, fulfilled representative requirements .

After war damage, the building was initially provided with a simple flat roof. As part of a renovation in 1990/1991, the characteristically shaped, copper-covered roof was restored almost to its old form.

Today the building is mostly used by the Hamburg branch of the advertising agency Serviceplan .
