The Burgstädt administrative association is an administrative association in the Free State of Saxony . It is located in the west of the district of Central Saxony, around 17 km northwest of Chemnitz , around 8 km northeast of Limbach-Oberfrohna and around 13 km west of Mittweida . The landscape of the community area is between the valleys of the Zwickauer Mulde and Chemnitz rivers , which converge north of the municipality. The federal road 95 runs through the administrative community (Mühlau municipality) . Just east of Taura, federal highway 107 passes the community area. The community area can also be reached via the Chemnitz-Glösa and Chemnitz-Mitte connections of the federal motorway 4 running south .
