The administrative community Ostrau is an administrative community in the Free State of Saxony . It is located in the north of the Central Saxony district , around 50 km northeast of Chemnitz , 50 km southeast of Leipzig , 20 km southwest of Riesa and 10 km north of the district town of Döbeln . The landscape of the community area is located in the central Saxon hill country on the western edge of the Lommatzscher Pflege . The federal highway 169 runs through the municipality and the federal highway 14 runs in the south of the administrative area and can be reached via the connection Döbeln-Nord . The Döbeln – Riesa railway runs through the community area.
