The administrative community Lichtenberg-Weißenborn is an administrative community in the Free State of Saxony . On February 1, 2018, the Lichtenberg / Erzg. renamed. It is located in the center of the district of central Saxony, about 8 km south of the district town of Freiberg and about 6 km east of Brand-Erbisdorf . The landscape of the community area is located in the northern foothills of the Ore Mountains in the valley of the Freiberger Mulde and its surrounding ridges (up to over 600 m above sea level ). In the south there is the Lichtenberg dam . The B 173 runs north and B 101 east of the community area. They can be reached via Freiberg and Brand-Erbisdorf.
