Electroputere
Electroputere ( German Elektrokraft ) is a locomotive manufacturer from Craiova in Romania, founded in 1949 . The manufacturer produced mainly in large numbers for the domestic market, exported its machines - including both electric and diesel locomotives - but earlier also to Bulgaria , Greece , Great Britain , Iran , Yugoslavia , Poland and the People's Republic of China . The best known type is the CFR series 060 DA , of which Electroputere alone produced 2,490 copies.
From 1955 to 1959, the company also manufactured large-capacity trams of the V54 type. In mid-October 2007, the former state-owned company was finally privatized . In 2009 the company had 2540 employees.
