Electroreturn
Electroreturn was a service from Deutsche Post that made it possible to recycle old or defective small electrical appliances (especially cell phones ) free of charge . The service was discontinued in 2019, and Deutsche Post asked on its website to dispose of any existing shipping labels.
Due to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act, dealers are responsible for the environmentally friendly disposal of the equipment they sell.
Defective cell phones can also be returned free of charge to the municipal collection points, where (as with Electroreturn), a mixed collection takes place (i.e. cell phones are mixed with other small electrical appliances).
Electroreturn mailing bags for free shipping were usually available from cell phone companies . Free shipping stamps for self-printing could be downloaded from the Deutsche Post website until the service was discontinued.
