Goziridze (Metro Tbilisi)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Goziridze ( Georgian გოცირიძე ), until 2011 Elektrodepo ( Georgian ელექტროდეპო "Electric Railway Depot ", Russian Электродепо ), is a station on the Tbilisi Metro , which opened in 1966. Goziridse is located between Didube and Nadsaladewi . It was named after Viktor Goziridze and is used by the Achmetelis-Teatri-Warketeli line . It is - apart from Didube - the only above-ground station. It was renamed because many Russian terms disappeared in the metro over time. The station was also called Delissi from 1979 to 1992 and from 1998 to 2006 after Viktor Goziridze.
