Elena Paciotti

Elena Ornella Paciotti (born February 9, 1941 in Rome ) is an Italian lawyer and politician . Since 1999 she has been the president of the Fondazione Lelio e Lisli Basso ( Eng . Lelio and Lisli Basso Foundation ) for research into today's society.

Life

In 1967 she became a judge and practiced at the Milan court.

For two terms (1994–1995 and 1997–1998) she was President of the National Association of Magistrates and Member of the European Parliament (1999–2004) for the Democratic Party of the Left . She joined the Group of the Party of European Socialists.
