The nature reserve In der Wasserdell is located in the municipality of Dahlem ( North Eifel) in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area extends directly on the eastern edge of the core town of Dahlem. The state road L 110 runs to the west and the B 51 to the north-west . The border with Rhineland-Palatinate runs south .

meaning

Since 2001, a 31.87 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Dahlem under the identification number EU-091. The area was placed under protection in order to preserve the habitat for several animal and plant species endangered according to the Red List in North Rhine-Westphalia .
