The Villewälder nature reserve is located in the municipality of Weilerswist in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area, which consists of two sub-areas, extends north of the core town of Weilerswist and east of Bliesheim , a district of Erftstadt , directly on the A 553 that passes on the north-western edge . The A 1 runs to the west and the A 61 to the south-west . The state road L 194 runs through the area, the Swist flows to the west and south .
meaning
Since 2003, a 346.01 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Weilerswist under the identification number EU-115. The protection is placed for the preservation and development of habitats and animal and plant species of community interest.
