The Urfttal nature reserve with side valleys north and west of Nettersheim is located in the area of the municipality of Nettersheim in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends north and west of the core town of Nettersheim along the Urft directly on the state road L 205 which passes on the eastern edge .
meaning
For Nettersheim, a 405.66 ha area has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number EU-031 since 1990 . The protection is given because of the importance of a large part of the area for the establishment of a coherent ecological network of special protected areas in Europe.
