Sistiger heath

The Sistiger Heide nature reserve is located in the municipality of Kall in the district of Euskirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The area, which consists of twelve sub-areas, extends southwest of the core town of Kall and north of Benenberg . The B 258 and the state road L 22 run through the area .

meaning

Since 1979, a 188.01 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Kall under the identification number EU-007. The protection is given in particular because of the importance of a large part of the area for the establishment of a coherent ecological network of special protection areas in Europe.
