Bad Münstereifel forest

The Bad Münstereifeler Wald nature reserve is located in the city of Bad Münstereifel in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends directly east of the core town of Bad Münstereifel. The state road L 194 runs past the western edge , the L 234 crosses the area. The Erft flows to the west and the L 113 runs to the southeast.

For Bad Münstereifel, an area of 1007.45 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve under the identification number EU-097 since 2005 . The protection is given because of the importance of the area for the establishment of a coherent ecological network of special protection areas in Europe.
